Resolution Guidelines

The deadline for submitting resolution proposals for the 30th Sea Turtle Symposium (Goa, Australia), is 15 November 2009. You will find copies of the resolution guidelines below. Please note the very important changes that have taken place in the resolution process:

  • the resolutions proposal submission deadline is earlier than in years past (a result of the Society's goal to enhance oversight and fact checking for submitted proposals),
  • there are no opportunities for late resolution submissions under the 'emerging issues' context as in years past,
  • all resolutions will go through an intensive review by the Resolutions Committee and outside referees,
  • all resolution submissions must be accompanied by a completed Resolutions Submission Form that is available on the Symposium website,
  • appropriate supporting documentation is strongly encouraged and should be submitted along with the Resolutions Submission Form, and
  • the Primary Sponsor for a resolution is required to attend the Board of Directors meeting and symposium plenary session during which time discussion of the resolution will take place.

PLEASE NOTE: Resolutions that do not follow the rules and guidelines provided below will be returned without review.
